i pushed the floor
into the ceiling like
it was a paper plate
we touched the sky like
it was the exit gate
and i don't know how much
longer the moon will
stay round but i know
how to build a square i don't
remember why i wanted to
say this but i think it's
important that we remember
why i love this so much

i liked the sound of
waves in my ears even though
i was completely scared
for a year and i loved
the soft roars
played tear by tear

shouldn't i miss my ghost
while i'm off pushing
tiny buttons on the
back of my head with
prevailing force?

i'm looking at nothing
searching for something i
already have just with a
different kind of structure

when i'm lying there
and i picture you staring
at my fingers i get the
sudden feeling you know
that i'm reading you

i love to make you dangerous
but we'll just have to
get all quiet when you're
feeling safe and act
like we're all pretty-based

i could be something else
but theres nothing to be that
i've never seen so i'll just
stick to myself and brace myself
