the way the sun shines indoors

flattered almost by the cold-
i feel myself twisting freely
lifted by size ten footsteps-
now it seems laughing's easy
patched by beating the odds-
i think we see the beauty
cheated by undoing the knots=
my heartbeat speeding daily

(i can say that even you will always remember)

like pretty pearls

go away because you're
making my bones real sore
slip away
sneak away
from under my cover
not today
but one day
i know you'll flip me over

i noticed that the stars are
starting to reach fifteen degrees
and it kind of makes me mad
because i'm looking in
while trying to look up
but i'll never feel the heat
if they lick themselves away

picture it flatter

our hairs-
all stood up
and
our teeth were
getting dull

every word
that ever leaves
my mouth
will float up
into the sky
and turn the
clouds black
after we all die
we'll turn everything
that symbolized pain
into a snow storm
and bring things back
to make new angels
so we can groom
and sharpen ourselves
properly

our minds-
they'll blow up
and
our feet
will shrivel up

we'll walk over some
of the prickliest prickers
without crying
for a little sunlight and
we're going to
sit on top of some of the
thickest bridges
leaving cracks in between
letting them know
with all of the worlds weight
pushing on your skull
you have to find room
for the beautiful things
and glue them in
somewhere that matters

my heart-
will pawn a smile
and
our thoughts-
will lead to noises
