Hot and cold at the same time
my hands change from
white
to
red
rifling through
things you left for
my eyes to tag
intentionally, like
bumps
and
bruises.

It's just.
It's like.
They wait
for me to trip over
their regrets and old discussions
just so they can reopen it,
and
lie to me more
and
more
and
more
and
more
to make me keep hoping.

I had announced it like
it was all i had going on in
my life at the moment.

I never knew my fingers could
pass the lampshade and appear
to be bare,
even with the switch off.
You have to love,
absolutely love the sounds
of crickets and croaks in your
yard and your head because
winter always comes around
where I stay.

Darkness falls later than it
should.
I miss seeing me fall with it on
the weekdays.

Shaking without the shake
is a coincidence since there's
nothing with me to set off
the alarm when you think about
crawling behind my eyes.
