stuck in a never
ending sentence
what do you know?
let go.

struggling to walk
on a treadmill
through the snow
oh no.

your frown sunk
to the murky
bottom of your soul
so low.

drift off and sit back
sink down and just
drown out solo,
blow.

wear our shapes so proudly

the bald spot on the back of my head grew back
at the very least i should be happy about that
my heart retreated and gave up the attack
i'm pretty sure everyone is happy about that

i wrote in a language no one could get
but everyone stood around and criticized it
like they chose for it not to exist
and were confused at how i thought it a gift

i love how you look at the clock in disgust
with all of your power can't you hurry it up
i'm sure if you wished it then i would erupt
with all of your power can't you hurry that up

did someone hand you a mere pile of bones
and thought at night that you'd not be cold
and that they would never rot or get old,
blow away in the wind and leave only your soul?

i would like to pretend that i'm always on top
like only the greatest had seen where i've got
my words are gold and rule the whole lot
like my heart knows when it will suddenly stop,

but i'm not.

did anyone ever hand you your trophe?

i should have been a dream
of cookie cutter golden clouds
only to have had happened once
then maybe i would suffice

gave you all the normal flowers
picked them off a normal grave
you said that you'd put them up
but didn't and that wasn't nice
